Personal Experiences With The Body Glove Paddle Board
I got the Body Glove Performer 11 because I knew it would be a great option for my girlfriend, friends & family to use as their first board to learn on! I have had no problem getting on the Performer 11 and having a blast! It is very easy to balance on and maneuver on. My girlfriend had an easy time getting on it and she absolutely loved the design!
We went out into the lake with it and we were able to go about 5 miles out before we got too tired and had to turn around and head back! The best part about it is that when you get tired or need a break from paddling, you can sit down on the board and enjoy the serenity of being on in the water.
My girlfriend has been wanting a paddleboard for awhile now but she was afraid that she wouldnt be able to balance herself or if she fell off she wouldnt know what do do next! She was so excited when we brought this one home! Im a average size guy so I have been able to show off my skills with this board. It is very light and easy to control, which allows me to perform tricks without worrying about falling off. It also has great stability which allows you to ride longer without feeling like you need a break.
The board is perfect for people who are looking to get into the sport of SUP or just want something fun to do on their day off. Its not too heavy, so its easy to carry around, but still sturdy enough that you dont have to worry about it breaking while youre using it.
Body Glove Performer Vs Atoll 11 Inflatable
The Atoll 11 SUP is another well-loved inflatable paddleboard. It seems to have everything that SUPers like. It comes in muted colors and measures 11 x 32 x 6. Its SUP package includes a bag, pump, paddle, leash, and a large center fin. The paddle is made of carbon fiberglass and has a nylon blade.
The main difference between the Atoll and the Performer is in the shape of the boards. The Atoll has a regular, more all-around board shape. The Body Glove Performer has a more extreme shape with a sharper nose and very wide center.
Both boards are fairly fast and stable, but I found the Atoll to track better and to have a better balance between speed and stability.
The Atoll can hold up to 700 pounds while the Performer has a 320-pound capacity.
Both paddleboards have a six-point bungee storage area at the front. Unlike the Performer, the Atolls bungee is attached to D-rings. It has extra D-rings for customization too. In addition to its center handle, the Atoll features a tail handle.
Touring Body Glove Paddleboards
Body Glove touring paddleboard options range from 10.5 feet to 11 feet in length. Ideally I prefer touring paddleboards to be a minimum of 12.5 feet for longer day trips or overnight adventures but the Performer, Raptor Pro, Mantra and Alena will all do the trick for covering reasonable distances on the water for a few hours at a time. The Mantra has more of an all-around shape while the other three models have a more distinctive touring style shape at the front of the nose.
The Body Glove touring paddleboards each have three rigid, non-detachable fins and multi-functional carry handles. The Performer and Raptor Pro models have more options for accessory or gear attachment with multiple D-ring attachment points and also have a reinforced nose bumper to protect the board from impacts.

What About The Fins
Body Glove makes an interesting choice with its fins. The design uses three built-in relatively short fins. Theyre not removable, which means you cant swap in bigger fins for better tracking. If you break them, theyre non-replaceable. However, theyre fairly flexible, which means they should be hard to break under normal usage.
How do they track? For me, I thought the Body Glove Performer 11 tracked remarkably well. I had no problem keeping relatively straight lines. Part of that might also be due to the shape of the nose.
If youre rough on your gear, I recommend that you place the included pump near the fins inside the included carry case backpack. The pump will help protect the fins during transport and storage if you drop the bag on concrete or toss it in the back of a pickup. As you might have guessed, a pump is easier to replace than the built-in fins and you could even go with an electric pump like the Outdoor Master Shark SUP II Electric Air Pump.

Warranty & Customer Service
All of Body Gloves 2019 inflatable paddle boards are backed by a one-year warranty which covers all manufacturing defects. Wed really love to see another year added on to the warrantys duration, but at the current price point, a single year of warranty coverage is totally understandable.
Also, weve had very good dealings with Body Glove in terms of customer service. When our board arrived, the bundled SUP leash wasnt in the box so we reached out to them and a leash was quickly shipped out same-day. Its great to see the high value that Body Glove places on SUP safety by getting our leash out so quickly, and we love the fact that they promptly addressed our issue with no questions asked.
Yoga And Fitness Body Glove Paddleboards
At 10 feet in length and a stable 34 inches in width, the Oasis is the closest Body Glove paddleboard to an inflatable yoga mat. The beautifully patterned deck pad is the full length of the board for good traction while in yoga postures or fitness movements and features innovative and integrated handles at the nose and tail of the board to secure a paddle or hold a water bottle.
I havent seen this feature on other paddleboards and overall the Oasis is the Body Glove paddleboard that is at the top of my wishlist for yoga and fitness boards and my favorite of the Body Glove lineup. The Oasis can easily link to other Oasis models as well as the Kayoga model to secure a fleet together as a floating yoga studio.
The Kayoga is a slightly longer yoga and fitness paddleboard model at 10.5 feet in length and has an action camera attachment, although it also has a little more bungee tie down space for securing gear. The major difference between the Kayoga and Oasis is that the Kayoga is transformable into a kayak by securing on a kayak seat as well as removable footrests on D-ring attachment locations.

Should You Buy The A Body Glove Paddle Board

If you are looking for a first-time budget-friendly paddleboard that will last you for years and will allow you to develop better skills on the water, then yes you should buy this paddle board!
This paddle board is great for beginners who want to learn how to stand up paddleboard in a safe and fun way. The board is made of soft foam which makes it easy to grip and provides cushioning when you fall off the board. You can use this board on lakes or rivers, but I would not recommend using it in salt water because the foam might get damaged over time.
The overall quality of this paddleboard is good and will last you for many years if taken care of properly. This is why many reviewers recommend purchasing a cover or storage bag so that your board stays clean and dry when not in use.
You should not buy the Body Glove Paddle Board if you are interested in doing SUP races, paddle board multi-day camping adventures, and long distant touring. This board is good at a lot of activities but if you are interested in these then maybe you should invest in a paddle board like the Bluefin Cruise paddle board that allows you to have a longer board, different size fins, and more storage capabilities!

What Makes A Good Inflatable Paddleboard
When Im in the market for an inflatable stand-up paddleboard there are a few things I take into consideration. I want my board to be stable, easy to pack down, come with all the accessories I need to paddle, and I want it to all come at an affordable price point.
StabilityA general rule of thumb when shopping for an inflatable SUP is that you want it to be stable. Especially if youre newer to paddling or plan to paddle in high wind or on choppy seas. As you get better, you may consider sizing down but early on, youll definitely want something thats stable.
PackabilityIf youve ever torn down a tent, then you know the struggle of trying to get everything back into the original packaging. Stand-up paddling is something I do regularly, so although I want my board to pack down small, I dont want to feel like Im playing Tetris every time I pack up my board.
AccessoriesThis may sound a little weird, but in my opinion, a good inflatable SUP package should come with everything I need to travel and paddle, and youd be surprised at how many dont. I look for essentials like a leash, fins, pump, and a carrying case anything else is a bonus.

Who Should Buy The Body Glove Performer
The Body Glove Performer is ideal for fitness enthusiasts, beginners, families, and adventurous paddlers.
The Performer is 11 feet long and 34 inches wide. It offers a stable platform for your fitness routines. Some yoga poses are hard enough on land. Imagine how much harder they would be on the water. You need a wide enough platform to ensure that you dont keep taking a swim. And the Performer offers that. The deck is partly covered in a soft EVA traction pad too. It is as comfortable as a yoga mat.
Like yoga enthusiasts, beginners also want a stable paddleboard. Learning how to stand on a SUP is challenging. A stable platform makes it easier for beginners. Additionally, The Body Glove Performer comes with everything you need to start paddling. You only have to buy a paddle board life jacket and youre good to go. Its great if you dont know what accessories to buy.
The Performer is big enough for two adults or an adult and a child/dog. Family paddleboards should be able to handle more than one person. This ensures that even the non-paddling family members, like your furry friend, are not left out.

Final Thoughts: Body Glove 11′ Performer Isup
All in all, we love the BG Performer for a number of reasons. Obviously, we love the little extras: extra d-rings, included dry bag, and integrated paddle/bottle holder within the handle, to name a few.
We also love that this board gives you a little bit of everything in an all-around board. Maneuvering is fun and fairly simple, and so is paddling straight and somewhat fast on calmer waters. Families will enjoy paddling and riding together, and your pets will love tagging along.
If you are looking for a stable all-around iSUP, the Body Glove Performer is a solid choice. It is supremely durable and will provide even the roughest of families years of fun on the water.
