The Atoll 11 is my top pick for the best overall inflatable paddle board. It perfectly balances speed and stability, making it a great option for paddlers of all skill levels, and the build quality makes for a durable board that I know I can rely on.
In fact, one of the main things I love about the Atoll 11 is its rugged construction. The machine-laminated dual-layer PVC and Korean dropstitch construction results in a SUP that can take pretty much anything. This means that its one of the toughest inflatables around.
I have no worries about damaging the board when I transport my Atoll 11 to the water or when Im out on it.
The durability of the board is matched by its great performance on the water.
In fact, Ive found the Atoll 11 to be one of the easiest boards to paddle. At just 21lbs its easy to carry too but some extra grab handles would have been appreciated , and theres also no attachment point so dont buy this board if you want to mount a camera or fishing rack.
The Atoll has two fixed sidefins which make rolling up the board more difficult and less compact. When you stack multiple boards on top of each other the sidefins are prone to bend and prone to dent the deckpad of the board below.
The center fin uses a universal finbox, which makes getting a replacement fin easy, but its a little more cumbersome to install the fin than with the snap-in fin boxes brands .

Falls Happen Proper Falling Is Important
Everyone falls of their board from time to time. It doesnt matter if you have been paddleboarding for ten minutes or ten years, falls are unavoidable. However, you can help yourself to avoid getting seriously injured if you will simply learn to fall properly.
Paddleboards are not soft plushy pillows so they can hurt pretty badly if you fall on them or you get hit with them after you fall. The most important thing to remember is to fall away from your board.
If you fall on the board or the fin, it can cause serious injury and no one wants that to happen.
Though it is so much more fun to practice tricks and catching waves, it is probably a good idea to practice wiping out a couple of times, too.
When you think you are going to fall, think fast and fall away from the board and in the opposite direction that the board will be pushed by the waves.
If you are using the leash like you are supposed to, you wont have to worry about losing your board because it cant go far if its attached to you.
