Omaha Man Celebrating Life On A 7000 Mile Jet Ski Trek
John Straub of Omaha is celebrating his 50th birthday by jet skiing 7,000 miles! He’s embarked on what is known as the Great Loop. He started his jet ski trek on the Missouri River in Omaha and it looped him to the Gulf of Mexico. Eventually, he will loop up the Mid-Atlantic coast and wind his way through the Great Lakes and then, eventually, back to Omaha!
His trip is not non-stop jet skiing. He’s taking vacations here and there throughout the journey.
Why is he doing this? He decided not to wait, to live life… NOW. In fact, his license plate on his Corvette is “Y Wait.” And he’s turning 50. He started the trip in June and expects it to last four months.
