Where The Pacific Ocean Begins

Diving with Cabo Trek at Lands End is an inspiring experience and a different one each time. Cabo San Lucas is the meeting point of 3 oceanic currents, which translates to the massive biomass of fish that passes through and has made this area famous for sports fishing. Lands End is our favorite dive site in the Cabo San Lucas Marine Park.

Lands End or The Point is at the southernmost point of the Baja Peninsula, and this is next to the seasonal home of a colony of California Sea Lions, who are pretty used to divers.

Depths at the sandy base of the rocky monoliths are at most 70 feet.

This site is subject to conditions, as currents and surges can be intense. While we can book your scuba tour to include diving at Lands End, please be aware conditions can change by the hour, and we always prioritize safety above all.

Shark Diving In Cabo San Lucas Mexico

Scuba Diving Tour in Cabo San Lucas in Los Cabos: Book Tours ...

This unparalleled dive site is rich with incredible and abundant wildlife. What an unique experience to dive at Gordo Banks with schooling hammerheads, hound sharks, school of jack, rays and other pelagic life! There are no guarantees in nature and shark sightings are dependent on water clarity, the depth where they choose to swim, currents, moon cycle and other things we cant control. In any case, we can explore the bank or just have a blue water dive among shadows and shapes that shift in the blue – often to come closer and make an appearance but sometimes to just disappear from view. Squadrons of mobula ray, lone whale sharks and even humpback whales have frequented this dive site on numerous occasions.

Help For All Skill Levels

Jacques Cousteau, the world-famous French oceanographer, once called Cabo the aquarium of the world. For skilled scuba divers, that may a kind of siren song, luring them out into the deeps to see the vibrantly colorful life of the coral reef at Lands End. However, that can be equally as frightening to those who are amateur scuba divers.

Is there a way for divers of all levels to enjoy the beautiful ocean depths of Cabo?

Yes, there is. Scuba dives are offered at all the most popular and exciting sights. Those who are not ready for full scuba expeditions can enjoy snorkeling at several of these sites instead.

Three of the best snorkeling sites are Pelicans Rock, which is a three-hour boat ride out, Santa Maria Bay, and Chileno Bay. These latter two locations are swimmable beaches, also easily accessed by boat.

The scuba diving locations are chosen according to how easy and how rewarding their experiences are. The sailing companies typically provide all the scuba and snorkel gear you will need. They also offer a certified scuba instructor or guide.

You can make these dives whether you are a certified or non-certified diver. Non-certified divers can take a PADI Discover Scuba Diving course with a certified open water scuba instructor. This course entails 15-20 minutes of short explanations of the necessary skills you need to learn before heading out on your scuba adventure. You have the option to leave first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon .

  • Late December to April : 5 or 7mm wetsuit

Pelican Rock A Rocky Outcropping Rich With Sea Life

Pelican Rock is a pinnacle covered in purple fans that rises above the surface from a depth of roughly 14 meters. A spectacular wall dive with plenty of life and one of Cabos famous sand falls are just in front of the outcropping. There is something for everyone at the dive location.

The shallows are ideal for courses and newer divers, while the deep walls provide a wonderful exploration opportunity for techy divers. The sheer abundance of life that inhabits the location all year round, though, makes it a lovely spot for divers of all levels. Octopuses, moray eels, seahorses, and blennies abound at this location.
